11-07-2003 - Cross-country skier Stanislav Rezac has daring plans in his
mind. Bumped-up father of son Thomas is in „top" among competitors on long
tracks and from this his dreams are unreeled. In becoming winter season he would like to
reign FIS Marathon Cup; defeat scandinavian´s competitors and win Vasaloppet
and after 3 years contend of medals on Olympic Games in Torino.

Kralove finished among competitors on long tracks in World Cup second last season. It was
his the best result. He was second on Jizerska 50, Marcialonga, König Ludwig Lauf and
Tartu marathon. He mounted on podium in Vasaloppet as the first Czech, after 90 kilometres
of classique technique he finished third, 2 seconds after winner.
Before becoming winter season he has higher targets.
In his 30, he wishes to have a better efficiency and he knows what he wants. „ To
win Fis Marathon Cup and Vasalpopet, it would be super. I would satisfied all my dreams in
long tracks races. And then I would like to attempt to entrant on Olympic Games and maybe
contend of medals on 30 km classique technique with mass start," dreamt Standa.
He does everything alone. He has
sponzor, but Czech ski federation doesn´t help him. „Home federation do for me a
little. And I need helps for the best results," complained of it Standa. „So
for better results I need money and man who helps me with training and organization.
Scandinavians and Italiens have extensive teams for realization but me?," saied
his demands Rezac.
 He met with
manager of cross-country´s section Cestmír Skrbek and adunbrated his vision. „
His vision is OK, but, he will have to joint World Cup with races on long tracks. He
has to reprove with coach and to advance his plans. We would like to know his idea with
view to Olympic Games," said Skrbek. Rezac was included to sponzor´s activities
of ski federation and will attempt to find him good partner.
The door is opened for Rezac, but he
can´t get exception. And if he want to Olympic Games, he must take part in control races,
obtain FIS points for World Cup series and present great form. „Nobody renounces
him, but conditions are same for everybody," explained Skrbek.
Rezac trained in Jizera mountains
this summer predominantly. „ I found some new tracks," said athlete from
Jablonec nad Nisou. He attempted Jizerska 100kms on mountain bike and he became Europian
Champion on rollerskies.
He was also on first snow on Dachstein glacier. „ It was super; 2 days I had a
fortune and trained on fresh snow.I trained there with my rival from Estonia – Olle
Raul and I recorded with his compatriot Andrus Veerpalu on a videorecorder. It
was instructive for us," closed up Stanislav Rezac.
