  THE WORLD SKIROLL SPRINT IS SWEDISH


In the KO Sprint races at Rollerski World Championship, Sweden conquers three gold medals leaving the fourth one to Germany. Bronze medal to the Italian Mateja Bogatec.

During this third day for Rollerski World Championship hosted by Comunità Montana Monte Cervino the spring races have taken place on a map 150 metres long in Chatillon.
Sweden has benn the absolute protagonist with the win conquered by Daniel Sjodin, followed by the Russian Igor Glouchkov and the fratricidal challenge among Swedish in the final race to assign the third place, won by Daniel Cornelius followed by Tobias Westman.
The dominion of the Swedish crown is continued by junior categories with the gold and the silver medal to Maria Magnusson and Melena Kalander in the woman race, where our Mateja Bogatec has reinstated her bronze of two years ago in Rotterdam. Among the men another final race between two Sweden with the win of Robin Linqvist followed by the teammate Joel Valtanen: in the little final race our Emanuele Sbabo has had to surrender the third place to the French Damien Gehin.
The only competition where Scandinavian have not fight to gain the platform has been among the senior women :e the German Ilka Ostermeier has defeated Marina Firsova ; third place to the Dutch Elsbet Straub followed by the Russian Helen Vedeneeva.
Today's competition was valid for the assignment of the points in World Cup and in the category senior men the Swedish Sjodin (341 points) tears the yellow pettorale of leader to Alfio Di Gregorio and preserves an advantage point on the Russian Igor Glouchvov, second with 340 points. Among the women the Dutch Straub consolidates her position of leader followed by the German Ostermeier. Tomorrow afternoon the last competition of World Cup and the next to last of these World Championships with the pursuit race on a track 2,9 kilometers long at Breuil Cervina and has to be repeated 10 times: Alfio DiGregorio starts in fifth position to reach the country skiers Bajcjcak and Vincent Vittoz from because he is one minute late. This competition is worth double: the conquest of world win and the confirmation in the World Cup. The teammates Alberto Pertile and Mirco Collavo will help him.
