PIERLUIGI PAPA EXPRESSES HIS CONSIDERATIONS IN THE MIDDLE OF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Italian team’ manager Pierluigi Papa announces to be satisfied about two days of competition. Today it is time for sprint race.

The CT of the blue team has been contacted by telephone and pronounces himself satisfied about realized results until today: "The organizational success of the World Championships hosted by the Aosta Valley is remarkale if considering the athletes’ high standard and the great number of countries competing in rollerski. These features are really positive for our demonstration and allow us to trace good conclusions about our team during the first days of competition. Excellent the result in the race team with two first positions in the Junior categories and two fourth places in the Seniores. Two tenth only separate our girls from the World Championships platform and considering the accident which has strongly conditioned the training of our most important athlete ,Viviana Druidi, I have to congratulate our athletes on the good performance".
Papa continues: "The classic technique race has confirmed our strenght; Italy can be proud of three athlets among the first ten positions in the Juniores and Seniores (male) categories thanks to Simone Paredi to the 2^nd place and Alfio Di Gregorio, 4 seconds and two tenth far from the third position. Yesterday’s races can be considered as a great starting point to win other medals in the pursuit and in the relay race".
Praises to the Master categories: "Compliments to the Master athletes, we can boast about the dominion of the Italian rollerskier Walter Tedesco and about his teammates’results, Vittorino Corso to the 2^nd place, Mario Concini and Antonio Gnata, both third".
Today it is time for sprint race in Chatillon (150 metres with direct elimination). We are waiting for Alberto Pertile and for a better race than the other one. He has to fight against the strong Finnish Jari Joudsen and The German team.
