PRESENTATA LA STAGIONE 2005 DELLO SKIROLL AI MONDIALI DI OBERSTDORF

  Oberstdorf (Germany) 23.02.2005 - Con la conferenza stampa tenuta questo pomeriggio  presso il Main Press Center dei Campionati Mondiali di Sci Nordico in svolgimento a Oberstdorf (Germania), ha preso il via il count-down della stagione 2005 dello skiroll internazionale. Alla presenza di Juerg Capol, managing director della Coppa del Mondo di sci di fondo, e di Jean Pierre Cochet, presidente della sotto-commissione skiroll in seno alla FIS, è stata presentata la Rollerski World Cup 2005.

Si inizierà a Cesis in Lettonia dal 24 al 26 giugno per poi trasferirsi in Russia nel primo weekend di luglio per due gare sulla Piazza Rossa di Mosca. La Coppa del Mondo riprenderà in Croazia dal 19 al 21 agosto e più precisamente nella località turistica di Oroslavje e la quarta tappa si svolgerà a Geyer, in Germania, dal 2 al 4 settembre. Il circuito mondiale dello skiroll si concluderà, come lo scorso anno, in Italia nel fine settimana del 16/18 settembre con le gare di Sestola in provincia di Modena.

Dopo le rassegne iridate di Rotterdam (2000) e Cervinia (Italia, 2002) sarà la Francia ad ospitare la terza edizione dei mondiali di skiroll. La stagione dello skiroll, infatti, avrà il suo momento clou con i Campionati Mondiali di specialità in programma a La Tremblade, sulla costa atlantica, dall’8 all’11 settembre.

Attesi al via delle gare diversi fondisti di Coppa del Mondo come i due "freschi" iridati di Oberstdorf, Vincent Vittoz (medaglia d’oro a Cervinia) e Pietro Piller Cottrer (vincitore delle finali di CdM di Sestola) che hanno confermato la propria disponibilità a confrontarsi anche d’estate con gli skiroll.

"Lo skiroll è il nostro strumento principale per l’allenamento a secco" ha dichiarato Pietro Piller Cottrer "ma a me piace competere anche d’estate, e per testare lo stato di forma e per non perdere l’abitudine all’agonismo lo skiroll è l’ideale".

  Oberstdorf (Germany) 23.02.2005 – With today’s press conference held at the "Main Press Center" during the Nordic World Championships in Oberstdorf (Germany), starts the count-down towards 2005 Rollerski international season.

Jürg Capol, Managing Director of FIS Cross Country Ski World Cup, and Jean Pierre Cochet, President of FIS Sub-Committee for Rollerskiing which depends directly on FIS, have attended the official presentation of Rollerski World Cup 2005.

Starting from Cesis in Lituania from the 24th to the 26th June 2005, the World Cup will move to Russia on the first weekend of July, that will see all rollerskiers competing in two races in Moscow. The Rollerski World Cup 2005 will continue in Croatia, from the 19th to the 21st of August, exactly in the resort of Oroslavje and than in Geyer Germany, from the 2nd to the 4th of September. The World Cup circuit will be concluded just like in 2004 in Italy, on the week-end of mid-September, from the 16th to the 18th in Sestola, nearby Modena.

The Rollerski World Cup in not the only international appointment that can’t be missed in 2005, the Rollerski World Championships will be the most fascinating competitive event of the year. After Rotterdam in the year 2000 and Cervinia, Italy in 2002, France will host the III edition of Rollerski World Championships.

Rollerski season will see its top moments thanks to the World Championships planned in La Tremblade, on the Atlantic coast, from the 8th to the 11th September.

Aligned at start confirmed many cross country skiers of the World Cup, just like the "brand new" world Champions in Oberstdorf, Vincent Vittoz (gold medal in Cervinia) and Pietro Piller Cottrer (winner of the World Cup Finals in Sestola), who are ready to continue the challenge on their rollerskis.

"Roller Ski is certainly the best training during the sunny period" says Pietro Piller Cottrer "but competitions are probably in my DNA. I really like to compete also in summer, which is an excellent system to test my shape and fitness level, and don’t think it’s easy, the agonistic level in rollerski is very high, I believe Rollerski is perfect to maintain a competitive attitude"

La station balnéaire de la Tremblade Ronce les Bains (Charente Maritime) accueillera pour la première fois en France les Championnats du Monde FIS de Rollerski dont le programme sera un Sprint, une Poursuite et un Relais du 8 au 11 Septembre 2005.

Le Champion du monde en titre de Rollerski et de ski de fond Vincent Vittoz a annoncé qu'il sera à l'événement.
